Venture Cup Denmark opens University Startup World Cup 2021 ($15,000)

Venture Cup Denmark an association of all the Danish universities has opened its 2021 University Startup World Cup for Universities across the world.

The aim of the University Startup World Cup is to promote and showcase entrepreneurship among university students, and help eliminate the gap between the academic world and the business community.

In this year’s edition, the best impact-based university startups from around the world come together to network, learn, grow and pitch for a chance of becoming the world’s best university startup.

But one of the most remarkable things about the World Cup is the international network that the participants achieve.

The goal is to feature the best university startups worldwide, give them a network and help them grow.

Every year since its inception, the startup competition sees participation from more than 70 startups from over 40 countries across the world. The competition has reached over 600,000 students all over the world.

Criteria for participation
  • You’re a part of a startup with two co-founders and at least one of them is affiliated with a University (or a recent graduate)
  • Your startup is either early-stage or growth stage
  • Your startup is working towards making an impact in the world
  • You feel like you have a potential to do great things and want a platform to help you reach your goals
  • You want to be part of a network of international student entrepreneurs
Benefits of participation

The competition is open to both early and growth-stage startups.

Early-stage

All 4 category winners will receive 1000 USD each. The overall winner will receive 15,000 USD and1,000 USD from winning the category.

Growth Stage

All 4 category winners will receive 1000 USD each. The overall winner will receive 15,000 USD and 1000 USD from the winning category

The possibilities of meeting with key players from the Chinese startup ecosystem and expanding your network.
