Lion’s Den roars again with nationwide competition for Food & Beverage start-up producers to be in with a chance to win a €10,000 digital marketing package

Bradley: The Brand Agency has launched its Lion’s Den competition for 2022; a pitch event for Food & Beverage startup producers taking place at the Food, Retail & Hospitality Expo in Dublin this 1st December, with a €10,000 Digital Marketing Package for the winner.

The Lion’s Den event returns for its 5th year and this year the prize on offer is a €10,000 Digital Marketing Package from Bradley: The Brand Agency for the winner. Applications are now open online at www.lionsden.ie where start-up food or beverage producers are invited to apply to take part. Submissions will be accepted until the closing date 1st November 2022. The selected shortlisted candidates will then be invited to pitch their food or beverage start-up live on stage in front of a panel of food and beverage experts (Lions) and attendees at this year’s Food, Retail & Hospitality Expo, taking place on 1st December at the Sport Ireland Campus, Blanchardstown, Dublin.

The panel of confirmed Lions include:
James Burke: Leader of the pack at James Burke & Associates, a food and retail business advisory that specialises in working with retailers across all channels, food producers and state agencies. James provides strategic advice and business planning to some of Ireland’s best known companies within the food and retail sector. Shane Ryan: Alpha cub and founder of fiid. Shane’s roar was the loudest back in 2019 when he won the Lion’s Den competition and has since grown his ready meal business exponentially by using only natural plant based ingredients.

Eoin Sheehan. Taking pride in cooking and nutrition, Eoin Sheehan began his meal prep venture ‘Country Munch Ltd’. Now the resident chef on Virgin Media TV Six O’Clock Show, and caterer for the Limerick GAA, Munster Rugby Youth Teams, Eoin has worked with several senior inter-county teams around Ireland. 2019 Lion’s Den winner Shane Ryan of fiid; a 100% plant-based, ready meal food business described his win: “It means a lot to us to have come and competed against some incredible brands that we watched quite closely. Winning Lion’s Den is an acknowledgment of the work we have put in and what we know we can be.”

Food and beverage businesses, collectives and suppliers are encouraged to spread the details amongst their networks to encourage start-up food and beverage producers to apply now to take part at .
